Paid services terms

This document describes the paid services Market Filter provides and the conditions on which we provide them. It forms an integral part of the Terms of Use and applies only to those who have ordered a paid service from us. Access to the site's materials remains free of charge and does not depend on this document.

These Terms take effect from the date of their publication on market-filter.com.

1. Who provides the services

1.1. The services are provided by the Market Filter project team ("Market Filter", the "Provider", "we"). Market Filter is an independent information project run by a group of private individuals; the project is not a legal entity.

1.2. A Client ("you") is the owner, administrator or official representative of a Telegram channel, group or chat, as well as any other person who approaches us for a paid service.

1.3. The only channel through which paid services are ordered and agreed is the Telegram bot @MarketFilterSupportBot. Offers of Market Filter paid services received from other sources are not official.

2. Which services we provide

2.1. We provide three paid services:

  • A review for the "Market Filter Verified" badge. An editorial review of an object under the Methodology, after which the Editorial Team decides whether the badge is assigned.
  • Partner placement in a top. A separate place in a top, marked with the "Market Filter Partner" label.
  • A queue-jump review. Speeding up the handling of an application for a review that has been or is being submitted.

2.2. We have no other paid services. We do not sell reputation statuses, scores, ratings, places in tops that are formed through editorial assessment, the removal of a status, or the deletion or amendment of published materials.

2.3. How assessments, statuses and the badge are formed is described in the Methodology, and the independence of the Editorial Team from commercial relationships is described in the Editorial Policy. Both documents are published on the site and apply to paid services in full.

3. The main rule: payment does not affect conclusions

3.1. Payment for any of the services in section 2 does not and cannot influence the assignment, change or withdrawal of a reputation status, the assignment or withdrawal of the "Market Filter Verified" badge, the score and rating of an object, the decision to publish a breakdown in the Market Scam section, or any other conclusion of the Editorial Team. This rule is recorded in section 1 of the Editorial Policy and in clause 1.5 of the Methodology.

3.2. Declining a paid service is not a ground for a worse assessment, and agreeing to one is not a ground for a better assessment.

3.3. Commercial negotiations and editorial work are conducted independently of each other. A Client acquires no right to approve, sign off or preview editorial conclusions.

4. A review for the "Market Filter Verified" badge

4.1. What is paid for is the work of the review, not the badge. The badge is not for sale and cannot be obtained by payment. The fee covers the Editorial Team's work of analysing the object: studying its content and publication history, checking its statements and promises, assessing the transparency and logic of the project and, where necessary, dialogue with the owner.

4.2. The badge is assigned only where an object meets the criteria of the Methodology published on the site. There are no other grounds for assigning the badge.

4.3. A negative outcome is possible and is a normal result of a review. Where we decline, we report the outcome and state the reasons why the object does not meet the criteria.

4.4. The fee for a review already carried out is not refunded, whatever its outcome, because what was paid for is the work itself, and the work has been done in either case. We state this before the work starts, and ordering the service means accepting it.

4.5. An assigned badge is not permanent. The Editorial Team may review an object's status and withdraw the badge in the manner described in the Methodology. Withdrawal of the badge does not entail a refund of the fee for a review carried out earlier.

4.6. A repeat review after a refusal is a separate service and is paid for separately. It makes sense to reapply once the reasons for the refusal have been addressed; the limits on repeat requests are described in the Complaints and Appeals Policy.

5. Partner placement in a top

5.1. Partner placement is a separate place in a top, additional to the places objects obtain through editorial assessment. Places obtained through editorial assessment are not for sale in any form.

5.2. Partner placement always carries the "Market Filter Partner" label. The label is visible to the User in the same place as the object itself. The placement is paid for, and the label exists precisely so that a reader can tell it apart from an editorial choice.

5.3. The object's reputation status stays visible when it takes a partner placement and does not change because of the placement. The "Market Filter Partner" label and the reputation status are different things: the first speaks about a partner placement, the second remains an editorial assessment.

5.4. Partner placement is available only to objects that do not hold the "Scam" status. Objects with any other status, including "High risk", may take a partner placement, and their reputation status stays visible to the User alongside the label: a partner placement neither hides nor softens the editorial assessment.

5.5. If an object is assigned the "Scam" status during the placement period, the placement ends. The fee for the elapsed part of the period is not refunded; the fee for the unused remainder is.

5.6. We do not give partner placements to financial pyramids, fake platforms, services and channels promising guaranteed returns, or other offers with clear signs of fraud or misleading promises. This rule is recorded in clause 7.4 of the Editorial Policy and applies regardless of the object's reputation status.

5.7. The placement period is agreed when the service is ordered. When it ends, the label is removed and the object stays on the site on the general basis.

6. A queue-jump review

6.1. The service changes only the timeframe in which an application is handled. It has no effect whatsoever on the outcome of the review.

6.2. A negative outcome is as possible with an expedited review as with an ordinary one, and gives no right to have the conclusion revised or the fee refunded.

6.3. The service does not replace a review and does not include one: what is expedited is the handling of an application submitted in the ordinary way.

6.4. Expediting does not extend to status reviews and appeals: requests to correct materials and to review statuses are handled free of charge and within the timeframes of the Complaints and Appeals Policy, and we charge nothing for them in any form.

7. Price, ordering and payment

7.1. The price and conditions of each service are stated in the Telegram bot @MarketFilterSupportBot. There are deliberately no prices in this document: the price is set individually depending on the type of service, the volume of work and the placement period.

7.2. An order is placed through correspondence in the bot. Before the work starts we agree which service is being provided, exactly what it covers, the price, the timeframe and the payment arrangements.

7.3. The payment arrangements are agreed in correspondence. Methods and details are stated in the bot when the order is agreed. We do not request or accept bank card details, cryptocurrency wallet keys or seed phrases, exchange passwords or API keys. Any request for such information in our name is not official and may be a sign of fraud.

7.4. The agreement is considered concluded from the moment the parties have agreed the service and its price in correspondence and the Client has made payment.

7.5. This document applies to an order in the version in force on the date the order was agreed.

8. Cancellation and refunds

8.1. If a Client cancels a service before the work starts, the fee is refunded in full. The work is considered started: for a review, when the editorial analysis of the object begins; for a placement, when the object appears in a top with the "Market Filter Partner" label.

8.2. Once the work has started, a refund is made only in the cases expressly set out in this section. For a review this follows from clause 4.4: the work has been done, and its result, positive or negative, is the result of the service.

8.3. For a placement, if the Client cancels early, the fee for the unused remainder of the period is refunded and the fee for the elapsed part is not.

8.4. If the service is not provided for reasons attributable to Market Filter, the fee is refunded in full.

8.5. Refunds are made by the same means as the payment, unless the parties agree otherwise.

9. What we will not do for any money

9.1. We do not sell:

  • the "Market Filter Verified" badge bypassing the review;
  • reputation statuses, scores and the rating;
  • places in tops obtained through editorial assessment;
  • the removal of a "Scam" or "High risk" status;
  • the deletion, amendment or softening of published materials;
  • a status review or the handling of an appeal.

9.2. Status reviews, corrections of inaccuracies and appeals are always free. The procedure is described in the Complaints and Appeals Policy.

9.3. Any offer to buy anything listed in clause 9.1 made on behalf of Market Filter is not official and may be a sign of fraud. Please report such offers to @MarketFilterSupportBot.

10. Liability

10.1. Services are provided with reasonable care. We do not guarantee the assignment of the badge, audience growth, revenue or any other commercial result of a placement or a review.

10.2. We are not liable for the consequences of the actions of the Client and of third parties in connection with published materials, or for the decisions users take when reading the site.

10.3. The Client is responsible for the accuracy of the information and materials passed to us for review or placement and confirms that they are entitled to dispose of them.

10.4. The limitations of liability in section 8 of the Terms of Use and in the Disclaimer apply to paid services as well.

11. Disputes

11.1. Disagreements about paid services are resolved in the manner of section 11 of the Terms of Use: negotiations through the official channels of communication first, then in accordance with the applicable law.

11.2. The mandatory rights of the Client that cannot be limited by agreement of the parties under the law of their country of residence are not limited by this document.

12. Changes to these Terms

12.1. We may amend this document. The current version is always published on the site, with the update date stated in the heading.

12.2. An order already agreed and paid for is governed by the version in force on the date it was agreed.

12.3. This document is drawn up in Russian. The English and Ukrainian versions are published for convenience. In the event of a discrepancy in interpretation, the Russian version prevails.
