User agreement
These Terms set out the conditions on which the Market Filter site may be used, what we publish, and what we are and are not responsible for. By using the site you accept them.
These Terms take effect from the date of their publication on market-filter.com.
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the market-filter.com website, including all of its sections and subdomains (the "Platform").
1.2. The Platform is operated by the Market Filter project team ("Market Filter", the "Operator", "we"). Market Filter is an independent information project run by a group of private individuals; the project is not a legal entity. Editorial work on the Platform is carried out by the Market Filter editorial team (the "Editorial Team"). You can contact us through the official channels listed in section 10.
1.3. A User ("you") is any person who opens pages of the Platform, reads its materials or otherwise uses it.
1.4. By using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms. If you disagree with these Terms, stop using the Platform.
1.5. The following documents form an integral part of these Terms:
- Privacy Policy;
- Cookie Policy;
- Rules on the Use of Materials;
- Channel Evaluation Methodology;
- Editorial Policy;
- Complaints and Appeals Policy;
- Disclaimer;
- Paid Services Terms.
All of them are published on the Platform and apply equally with these Terms.
1.6. User registration on the Platform is not provided. Access to materials is open and does not require an account. Accounts exist only for members of the Editorial Team and are used for internal work.
1.7. The Platform is intended for persons aged 18 and over. Its materials concern cryptocurrencies and financial risk, and we assume that the User is of legal age and has full legal capacity.
1.8. Access to the Platform's materials is free of charge. These Terms are not a contract for the provision of services, do not create any obligation to provide the Platform in any particular form or scope, and give the User no right to demand its availability.
1.9. Separately from free access, we provide paid services: a review for the "Verified by Market Filter" badge, partner placement in themed tops, and a queue-jump review. Partner placements are marked with a dedicated label. Their conditions are set out in the Paid Services Terms and apply only to those who have ordered them. Payment for any of them has no effect on reputation status, rating or the conclusions of the Editorial Team: that rule is recorded in the Editorial Policy and in the Methodology.
2. What Market Filter is
2.1. Market Filter is an independent analytical platform and an editorial media project. We collect information about cryptocurrency-related Telegram channels, groups and chats, analyse it and publish the results of that analysis: descriptions, editorial reviews, ratings, reputation statuses, breakdowns of fraudulent schemes and educational materials.
2.2. Market Filter is not:
- a financial adviser, broker, dealer or investment firm;
- a state authority, law enforcement body or court;
- an owner, administrator, representative or partner of the Telegram channels covered in our materials, unless expressly stated otherwise in a specific material;
- an exchange, exchanger, wallet or any other service handling Users' assets.
2.3. Market Filter does not sell trading signals, does not manage anyone's funds, does not accept funds from Users and does not guarantee the profitability of any decision.
2.4. All published ratings, scores, reputation statuses and conclusions are editorial opinion, formed under the published Methodology on the basis of open data and the Editorial Team's analysis at the time of publication. They do not establish a legal fact, do not constitute an accusation, a court decision or an official qualification of anyone's conduct.
3. Conditions of use
3.1. You are free to read materials on the Platform, link to them and quote them within the limits set by the Rules on the Use of Materials.
3.2. You must not:
- disrupt the operation of the Platform, create excessive load, or attempt to access closed sections of the Platform or the Editorial Team's data;
- circumvent technical restrictions, exploit vulnerabilities or introduce malicious code;
- automatically collect materials from the Platform (scraping, crawling, copying the database) beyond what is permitted by the robots.txt file and the Rules on the Use of Materials;
- impersonate an employee, representative or partner of Market Filter;
- use the Platform's materials to mislead third parties, for unfair competition, to pressure channel owners, or for any unlawful purpose;
- use our name, logo and brand elements, including the "Market Filter Verified" badge, without a right obtained in the manner described in the Rules on the Use of Materials.
3.3. We may restrict access to the Platform, including by technical means and without prior notice, for persons and automated systems that breach clause 3.2.
4. Content of materials and its currency
4.1. Materials on the Platform reflect the situation at the time the analysis was carried out. The Telegram environment changes quickly: a channel may change owner, topic, behaviour or disappear altogether.
4.2. We update materials as far as we can, but we do not guarantee that every material reflects the current state of an object at any given moment. The date of verification and update is shown on object pages.
4.3. Some objects are published before the editorial analysis is complete. Such cards contain only automatically collected data and carry an explicit note that the analysis is not finished. The absence of a score means neither a positive nor a negative conclusion.
4.4. Cards of channels that have become unavailable are kept on the Platform with a corresponding note. This is done for the sake of transparency and record-keeping and does not mean the channel is still operating.
4.5. The absence of a channel from the Platform does not mean it is safe. The presence of a channel on the Platform does not mean our approval or recommendation.
5. Reputation statuses and the Verified badge
5.1. Reputation statuses (including "low risk", "high risk", "under review" and "scam") and the "Market Filter Verified" badge are assigned by the Editorial Team under the Methodology published on the Platform.
5.2. A status reflects an editorial assessment of publicly available information about an object at the time of analysis. It is not a statement that a crime or any other offence has been committed by a particular person and does not replace a decision of a competent authority.
5.3. The Editorial Team may change, review or withdraw any status or badge, in particular when new information appears. Assigning a badge does not oblige Market Filter to keep it in the future.
5.4. An owner or representative of an object who disagrees with published information or an assigned status may contact the Editorial Team in the manner set out in the Complaints and Appeals Policy. We consider such requests on the merits and correct a material once we receive confirmation of an inaccuracy.
5.5. The "Market Filter Verified" badge confirms only that an editorial check against our criteria has been passed. It is not a guarantee of profitability, reliability, safety or of the object's good faith in the future.
6. Links to third-party resources
6.1. The Platform contains links to Telegram channels and other external resources. Following them is the User's own decision.
6.2. We do not control the content, policies or actions of external resources and are not responsible for them or for the consequences of the User's interaction with them.
6.3. For objects in the Market Scam section, that is those with the "under review" and "scam" statuses, a separate warning is shown before the transition, and the transition happens only after the User confirms it. By confirming, the User accepts the risk. The absence of a warning for other objects does not mean that a transition is safe.
7. Intellectual property
7.1. The Platform's materials, including texts, reviews, editorial materials, the methodology, the structure, the design, logos and other brand elements, are protected by law and belong to Market Filter or are used on lawful grounds.
7.2. Names, trademarks, logos, avatars and other designations of third parties are used on the Platform solely for informational, editorial and identification purposes, to indicate the object under analysis. Such use does not imply any connection with the rights holder, their approval, or any claim to their rights.
7.3. The conditions for quoting, copying and otherwise using the Platform's materials are set out in the Rules on the Use of Materials.
8. Liability
8.1. The Platform and its materials are provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate and complete, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the Platform, the absence of errors, or that materials will fully meet the expectations of any particular User.
8.2. The Platform's materials are not investment, financial, tax or legal advice. The full set of reservations is set out in the Disclaimer.
8.3. All decisions about interacting with channels, projects and services, about investing funds and carrying out transactions, are taken by the User independently and at their own risk.
8.4. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Market Filter is not liable for direct or indirect losses, lost profit or any other damage arising in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including losses arising from interaction with third parties covered in our materials.
8.5. The limitations of liability do not apply where the law does not allow them.
9. Changes to the Terms and materials
9.1. We may amend these Terms and the related documents. The current version is always published on the Platform, with the update date shown in the document header.
9.2. We flag material changes on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after a new version is published means acceptance of it.
9.3. We may change the composition, structure and content of the Platform, add and remove sections and features, suspend the Platform for technical work, and discontinue the Platform altogether. This creates no right for the User to claim compensation.
10. Contact and requests
10.1. All requests are accepted through the official Telegram bot @MarketFilterSupportBot. It is the main channel of communication for any question.
10.2. The procedure and deadlines for handling requests, including requests to correct information and to review a status, are set out in the Complaints and Appeals Policy.
10.3. The official channels of communication are listed on the Platform. Messages sent on behalf of Market Filter from any other source are not official.
11. Applicable law and dispute resolution
11.1. The parties resolve disagreements through negotiation. A mandatory pre-action step applies: the request is sent through the official channels of communication and is handled within the deadlines set by the Complaints and Appeals Policy.
11.2. The pre-action step is deemed complete once the Editorial Team has replied on the merits, or once the deadlines set by the Complaints and Appeals Policy have expired.
11.3. If a dispute cannot be settled through negotiation, it is resolved in accordance with applicable law. The User and the Operator may be located in different countries, so the applicable law and the competent authority are determined in each case under the rules laid down by law.
11.4. These Terms do not limit any rights of the User that cannot be limited by agreement under the mandatory rules of the law of their country of residence.
11.5. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
12. Final provisions
12.1. These Terms are drawn up in Russian. The English and Ukrainian versions are published for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Russian version prevails.
12.2. This version applies from the date shown in the header and supersedes all previously published versions of the Terms of Use.
